Community resilience
We need urgent action on community resilience in regional NSW. Worsening droughts, more frequent floods, and extreme temperatures are placing increasing strain on the environment and local economies. These challenges are impacting livelihoods, disrupting industries, and testing the strength of communities. We need investment in robust and adaptive infrastructure to withstand environmental pressures, such as flood-proof housing, reliable transportation networks, and resilient energy systems. We also need to boost education, gender equality, and community cohesion that strengthens the social fabric that underpins resilience.
